LONDON 2012

I recently took a trip to London to see War Horse and whilst I was there I took some photographs with a Canon G9, the thing that made it all the more exciting was that I never looked through the viewfinder or at the screen.  I decided that I would get a different perspective and take the images from the hip.  Take a look at some of the results.

I also decided to put the images into three forms, Colour, Black and White and Line Drawing.  I found that some suited one style while others didn’t.

Wedding Album

I am  a photo-journalist who offers a living journal of your wedding. I produces stylish themed story-books with stunning photos, poems, anecdotes, tributes and personal messages artistically brought together to tell the story of your wedding day.  I concentrate on great images with lots of detail which sensitively capture your relationship. Each album is personal and is designed from scratch. I meet each couple to discover what they like and to get the feel of the day planned. I begin with basic information like dress designer, flowers and venue. Then the album becomes an organic work-of-art that grows as I design it and is as individual as the couple. There could be song lyrics, stories, information, anything! I love looking at people’s faces when they see the proofs.  I offer to tailor the album with them,  but often they don‚t want to change a thing!

As featured in the February issue of Cotswold Life wedding magazine!

This wedding took place at Dormey House in the Cotswolds, Cath and Jim had a fabulous day planned and all the details have been captured in their album.  They had periods of history as the theme for their tables, so included in the album is love poems from each period.  There are lines from the speeches and little anecdotes from the day.  I included the dress designer and a short piece on the description and the style of dress.  The groom had difficulty with his tie so his uncle had to lend a hand, so i included the instructions and a little bit of the history of a Windsor knot.

You can have a look at the album on my website www.lemonphotographic.co.uk or give me a call if you have any questions.

Beth and Gareth married in Christchurch, Berry Hill.  The ceremony took place at 2pm and friends and family gathered to celebrate the wedding at the Orle Barn in Ross-on-Wye.  The bride had three bridesmaids in attendance, the colour theme was orange, pink and yellow sunset.

The wedding had a garden party theme with the favourite of the bride candy floss to make a complete celebration, there were 120 guest that enjoyed a delicious BBQ, pink champagne and plenty of punch.

The evening had live music from Jazz up your Wedding and vocalist and band manager Emma Hutchinson provided great background music whilst guest had drinks and food in the garden.  Guests had a evening portrait session and had great fun using picture frames and their imagination.  Congratulations to the Bride and Groom, it was a truly great day

What a great time I have had photographing a wedding in the Lake District, the weather was fantastic and the bride looked stunning.  It was a lovely relaxed wedding, bride and groom enjoying the company of their friends and relatives.  I had travelled up to the Lakes two days before the wedding and had a great time photographing the family preparing for the great day.  We took a beautiful walk and the scenery was fantastic as was the weather it was wall to wall sunshine.  The whole weekend was fabulous and I can’t wait to shoot the next wedding in the Lakes.

Beauty

I have been setting myself small photographic projects and have found that there is beauty in everything.

Ships hull

I was walking in North Devon when I came across this old wreck, the textures and colours are just fantastic.  The inside of the ship was stripped out but the texture of the wood deserved to be recorded. I took over 20 images of the ship and could visualise different images in black and white and others were best suited to colour, I think that there is a place for both.  When I am photographing weddings I visualise what would be good in colour and what is best suited to black and white.  Clients love the choice and I think that there is a place for black and white photography in wedding images.

I hope that you like the images, next time you are out and about try to look at something familiar in a different light, I am sure that you will be surprised.
